Scholarship Program Eligibility
To be eligible for the 2009/10 Broad Prize scholarship, candidates must:
- Graduate from one of the following school districts in 2010
- Aldine Independent School District, Texas
- Broward County Public Schools, Fla.
- Gwinnett County Public Schools, Ga.
- Long Beach Unified School District, Calif.
- Socorro Independent School District, Texas
- Have a minimum weighted grade point average of 2.75 in their senior year.
- Enroll full-time* at an accredited college, university, community or junior college or vocational/technical program in the fall of 2010.
- Show academic improvement from the 9th grade to the 11th grade as measured by an improved grade point average and/or class rank.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident in possession of a valid Alien Registration Receipt Card (INS Form I-551, commonly known as a “green card”).

*Full-time study is defined as full-time enrollment for the entire upcoming academic year.
